BMB Productions LLC was founded on January 1, 2003 with the mission to redefine local TV. The idea was to produce quality television programs in the style of national shows that would stand out because of their local perspective. Our goal was to take advantage of an untapped niche of television: local entertainment TV.
Three months later, on April 1, 2003, BMB produced and broadcast the first 30-minute episode of “Secrets of Louisville Chefs” on Insight Cable. This would be the first major step in BMB’s successful mission to redefine local TV.
In August 2003, BMB Productions debuted its second local broadcast series, “Louisville at Home with Cheryl Case” on Insight Cable Channel 2. The show profiles local homes, designers, and offers “at home” entertaining ideas from local experts.
In August of 2004, both “Secrets of Louisville Chefs” and “Louisville at Home” began airing every day of the week on WBKI-TV, the CW network affiliate in Louisville (WBKI-TV).
As operations expanded in 2006, The Company moved to its current location in the Bluegrass Industrial Park which features offices, multiple audio and video editing suites, and a complete working television studio.
July 2009 BMB launched “Secrets of Bluegrass Chefs” and is now airing daily in 2 markets (Louisville and Lexington) on ABC, MYTV and the ION-Networks. Rated #1 on MYTV.
BMB continues to grow, airing on WAVE-3, WBNA-ION Television Network (channel 21, HD-916 in Louisville) in partnership with Sullivan University, Brown-Forman, PNC Bank, Kentucky Proud, The Kentucky Beef Council and a host of top local restaurants.
Today, BMB continues to change the face of local television by providing all-local, all-positive entertainment in High Definition in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky.
DEADBEAT is not only another great concept but with BMB's touch it is definitely catching the eye of other markets.
